I was quoted in Good Housekeeping—a magazine I’ve read since I was a teenager, flipping through pages while dreaming about what I’d do with my life.
The article shared weekend habits of successful people, and I was honored to be included as a success coach sharing how powerful it can be to carve out space for your own mind, body, and heart.
But of course… as a writer, coach, and deep thinker… I had more to say.
So here it is: the uncut version. What I wish I could’ve added to the article—and what I hope inspires you this weekend (and every day after).
We live in a world of shoulds:
You should wake up early.
You should journal.
You should do this exactly the way that other successful person does.
But truly, there’s no one formula. No universal path.
The most successful people I know—those who are fulfilled, grounded, and at peace—aren’t following someone else’s blueprint. They’re listening inward. They’re designing success on their own terms.
Here’s the science behind it: Your subconscious is responsible for ~95% of your behavior. And it's shaped by your past experiences, your beliefs, and your nervous system.
Which means the most empowering thing you can do on the weekend isn’t copy someone else’s routine—it’s notice what works for you.
What fills your energy bucket?
What brings clarity?
When do you feel most like yourself?
Success starts when you create a space for those answers to rise.
In case you're looking for ideas—not rules, but invitations—here are a few weekend rituals I love:
A slow morning with a favorite playlist, pen and notebook in hand
A brain dump to clear out the noise and reconnect with my priorities
A walk in nature, no phone, just space to think
A simple “feel-good” list I can pull from when I feel off
A question I always return to: What does success feel like for me right now?
If you’ve been overwhelmed by the noise of productivity advice…
If you’ve been trying to do it “right” but still feel off…
Let this be your permission slip:
You don’t need to do more.
You don’t need to be someone else.
You just need to come back to you.
You already hold the answers. I just help you hear them again.
If this resonated, you’ll love what I’m creating next. I’ll be opening enrollment soon for a women’s coaching group designed to help you reconnect with your power, rewire your brain for success, and redefine what’s next—on your terms.
